1. USER’S GUIDE TO SIMPLIFYING NFPA 72 AND THE NEC
– Understanding the NICET CBT Process – CBT Testing Tips
– NFPA 72 Structure – Finding Information in NFPA 72 efficiently
– NEC Fire Alarm Wiring Requirements – Sample Quizzes
This 7 hour interactive seminar, each participant will learn about the NICET Computer Based Testing (CBT) process, learn CBT testing tips and how to locate information in NFPA 72, 2013 more efficiently. In addition, the fire alarm wiring requirements of the 2011 National Electrical Code will be reviewed. NICET has updated the Fire Alarm Systems tests to these two codes, and this seminar is designed to better prepare you to successfully obtain your certification. Sample quizzes will be given to provide an opportunity to use your new skills.
2. FIRE ALARM PLAN REVIEW
In this seminar, each participant will apply formulas to perform battery and voltage drop calculations, select proper notification appliances for particular applications and apply proper smoke detector location. They will be able to determine the items required for fire alarm plan submittals and discuss methods to improve the plan review process.
3. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM TESTING AND INSPECTION – BASED UPON NFPA 72-2013
This 7-hour seminar is designed to help individuals interested in taking a Level I or Level II test for the new NICET Fire Alarm System Inspection and Testing Certification. It is based on the inspection and testing requirements of NFPA 72, 2013 edition.
