Although this system probably works fine, the Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada (ULC) listings have been voided by installing the Notifier BE-2500 panel in an Edwards 6500 back box. Fire alarm panels are tested and listed as complete assemblies. If there was a failure of the system Notifier would most likely tell the client that their panel was never tested for use outside of it's own cabinet.
